Special Interests and Services:
Jon was born and raised in Hawaii and moved to Seattle in 2006. Jon is passionate about helping different cultures understand one another. Having been raised in a collective culture and then marrying someone from a more robust individualistic culture, Jon strives to help bridge the gap between those two worlds through mental health counseling and psych-education.
People are multi-faceted and complex. Jon believes that people grow and heal when they understand the relationship between biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors and how they impact and influence the client’s world.
Jon loves using Object Relations, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) with clients. Jon also enjoys utilizing personality assessments to help clients achieve and develop their goals by understanding themselves and relating to others.
