Background and Experience:

MaLeigha is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and warmth. She developed a heart for the field of psychology at a young age through her interest in understanding the lives of others and how lived experiences can impact mental health. MaLeigha has experience working with adolescents and adults in various outpatient settings including co-occurring and primary mental health partial hospitalization programs (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP). Her most recent experience includes conducting substance use and mental health forensic evaluations. She has additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Gottman Couples Therapy.

Special Interests and Services:

MaLeigha primarily works with adults and adolescents navigating life transitions, managing various mental health symptoms, addressing substance use concerns, and healing from trauma. She views therapy as a collaborative journey and believes that each person is unique, deserving an individualized approach that honors their lived experiences, culture, and values. MaLeigha's therapeutic approach is rooted in creating a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. She strives to provide a space where individuals can be their authentic selves without fear of judgment. Committed to a holistic, individualized, and integrative approach, MaLeigha aims to promote healing and well-being by addressing the whole person.

In her free time, MaLeigha enjoys traveling with her family and watching cooking shows. Originally from North Carolina, she loves exploring the beautiful scenery and experiences that Washington has to offer.
