Master of Divinity from Regent College
Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Religion from the University of Washington

Background and Experience:
The most formative positions in Nathan’s previous careers were as a pastor and also a mentor at a non-profit organization. Through these roles, he learned the importance of recognizing the dignity and worth that is inherent in every human being, and helping them to realize that also. It is with that approach that he enters into the counseling office, where he offers a safe and open space for his clients to explore who they are, navigate through life’s hardships, identify meaning in their lives, and reach the goals they have set for themselves.
Special Interests and Services:
Nathan leans towards Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavior Therapies (CBT). However, more important than any one approach, he believes in understanding the unique aspects of a client, which includes the integration of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors, and using various approaches that best serve them. Some of the areas that Nathan focuses on are: anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal conflicts, shame/guilt, and issues around faith and spirituality. Nathan’s hope and goal for therapy is to help every client make progress towards their goals and to find meaningful growth in their lives.
